Visual Quality Assurance Manager
Job Summary
The Visual Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the quality and consistency of all visual content produced for our e-commerce services. This includes product photography, videos, and other multimedia content. The role involves working closely with photographers, videographers, stylists, and post-production teams to ensure that all visual assets meet the brand’s standards, align with the creative vision, and enhance the overall customer experience.

- Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes and checklists for visual content, including product images, lifestyle photography, and videos.
- Review all visual assets to ensure they meet the brand’s quality standards, including color accuracy, lighting, composition, and consistency.
- Conduct regular audits of visual content to identify any deviations from brand guidelines and address any quality issues.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with photographers, videographers, stylists, and creative teams to communicate quality expectations and provide feedback during and after shoots.
- Collaborate with the post-production team to ensure that retouching, color correction, and video editing meet quality standards.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure that all visual content is consistent with the brand’s aesthetic and tone, adhering to established guidelines.
- Review all visual assets to ensure they meet the brand’s quality standards, including color accuracy, lighting, composition, and consistency.
- Maintain a visual style guide and update it as needed to reflect any changes in the brand’s visual identity.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices in visual quality assurance, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Training & Development:
- Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices in visual content production.
- Provide ongoing feedback to creative teams to help them improve the quality of their work.
- Project Management:
- Manage the visual QA process for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality is maintained across all content.
- Track and report on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Vendor & Asset Management:
- Oversee the selection and management of external vendors, ensuring they meet the brand’s quality standards.
- Manage and organize the digital asset library, ensuring that all visual content is properly stored, categorized, and accessible to relevant teams.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Photography, Film, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in visual quality assurance, photography, videography, or related fields, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
- Proven experience in overseeing the quality of product photography and video production.
- Skills:
- Strong eye for detail and a deep understanding of visual aesthetics, including composition, lighting, color theory, and branding.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and work effectively with creative teams.
- Basic knowledge of shoot equipments such as lights, cameras etc will come in handy.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of current trends in e-commerce photography and video, including best practices for optimizing visuals for online platforms.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supervisory role within a creative or production team.
- Familiarity with QA tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
